The next obvious destination was Cordoba and we headed that way.  Under Islamic rulers, the town was the most advanced and civilised city in the 10th century Europe.
Its famous mosk Mezquita Catedral was converted into a church after Cordoba had fallen in Christian hands.
We did not spend too much time in Cordoba and the day was still young so we made a brave decision to do Sevilla that same evening.
We drove into Sevilla, parked the car and then had a wonderful but a very long walk through Seville.
Sevilla is a pretty town, one of those I wouldn't mind visiting again and spend more time in them.
Its best-known tourist attraction is the huge cathedral but the city has a number of other pretty places and appears to be very livable.
