Mix up in departure time made a mad rush to catch plane for Selous. Only Pat and myself on it. Met at the rough airstrip and taken to our camp. Set of for a boat safari which was really nice, again just us two on the boat. Saw lots of kingfishers and water birds, Hippo's crocs, giraffes, antelope and elephant. Very restful.

In the afternoon had game drive, just Pat and I again this is certainly a very exclusive holiday, and back for some G+T's watching the sun go down and excellent home cooked dinner. Staff very friendly. African night very noisy with the hippos's (who walk past the tent) and other wildlife. Pat begins what is to be an ongoing feud with the gecko in the shower. It is actually pretty big. I think they both have trouble fitting in together.
