Hoped to go diving this morning and got up at 6.30 am to be picked up. We are staying near one the best dive sites in Zanzibar. Unfortunately we have to fly back to Dar in the afternoon and it would be to dangerous for me to dive if the flying is less than 12 hours. A pity. Had a swim in the sea and loafed around the resort with Pat until we were picked up in the early afternoon. Arrived at the airport a bit early early and looked at the shops before hanging around the VIP lounge. At Dar we were met by Lord Bhati, who had left yesterday, who took us for drinks at his brother in law's house which was very fine and in the same area as the British High Commission residence. Back to the hotel and a very nice fish night buffet and a few beers before saying goodbye to the delegation who now all go their seperate ways. Due to be picked up in the morning to fly off on safari and out of communication for a while.
