Where I stayed
We started the day with another free walking tour. Our guide this time was ok - a university student studying history no doubt. Was real passionate about the whole Irish independence story but I was too shattered to take much of in with enthusiasm.
After the tour Liz went to a traditional Irish storytelling which she loved and I went for a wander around Dublin in search of a massage (not the dodgy kind, my back is killing me after all this bad sleeping!). The town doesn't really have too much to look at in terms of pretty buildings and stuff - it's the people here that really give it it's character.
In the afternoon we went to the Jamieson's whiskey distillery. Was lucky and got picked to sample a whole bunch of different delicious types. Then we headed out and an awesome pub dinner. The pubs in Dublin are amazing! There's one part of town in particular (Temple Bar) that is packed with them, one after the other, after the other.
Tomorrow we get the keys to the rental car hit the road. It will be good to get out of Dublin! First stop Galway and then the cliffs of Moher.
