We rode in sub 40 degree weather(extremely cold) into Greenville, to the Blood Connection. there all the cyclists were split up to go with a sponsor to take us to a specific event that each of us would be the main attraction. some went to schools, others went to blood drives, still others went to a group home. I went to a Rec Center to speak to the employees right before their blood drive. I hope I made an impression, it is very hard to tell sometimes. the blood drive did go very well- the people here are all so nice and helpful. I was escorted by Tara Strange who is a district recruiter. she was very fun and helpful. she took me to lunch and then escorted me around Greenville, which is a very cute city. the city has been newly refurbished on the West end where there was a cool bridge, park and trails. I was impressed by the small restaurants along Main Street which reminded me of a European villa. The Hyatt is very nice and we all went to a Wings restaurant in the evening. I think it was the most fun all of us have had whilst on the trip. The Blood Connection people were very nice and entertaining. I met the CEO and his wife and had a great time with my co-riders- we all had a relaxing evening. I am so fortunate to have this oppurtunity and am enjoying it very much.
