Since we plan to stay here for two nights at least, we took our time getting ready this morning. We woke up to another cool, beautiful morning which is always a pleasure. It was 57 degrees when we started stirring around.

This little campground has been a very nice little oasis for us…as I said yesterday, it isn't the biggest and/or the best RV park we have ever stayed in, but it has meet all of our present requirements and we are very pleased with our weekend stay.

At 10:00 we walked up to the street in front of the Motel office where we waited about 15 minutes for the trolley to come by. The gal that drove today was very nice and made us feel very welcome. After arriving in the Village of Lake George we disembarked from our ride and took a stroll along the sidewalk running alongside the harbor. It seemed to be a typical busy tourist weekend…lots of people walking around in and out of stores and getting onto and off of boats. Many had brought lawn chairs and were sitting on the bank overlooking the lake and enjoying the passing scenery. The temperature was very pleasant and we were able to get in a little exercise so it was all good.

A business friend of ours from Melbourne Beach, FL also has a business in Lake George, and we almost gave him a heart attack when he saw us walk into his store, Enrico’s Jewelry. We haven’t seen Rick for a couple of years and it was good to catch up with him and his wife Linda. I gave him a hug from all the Sisterchicks, and he sent his best to all of you also! We had a nice visit and then headed on out to check out the town for a while longer.

After walking around town for a little while longer, we stopped and had a light lunch at Christie’s on the Lake…which, as the name indicates…overlooks Lake George. Jim and Renee, we think that the four of us ate here when we came through on our way to Canada several years ago. The food was good, and the view was fantastic!

Leaving Christie’s, we caught the return trolley and headed back to camp. There were two couples on the trolley that were returning to a different campground from ours, and we talked to them on the trip back. Both couples are full timers in their RVs, but one couple is thinking of getting off the road and buying a house. They asked about DWLP and we gave them what information we could in a short time along with our phone number in case they truly do get interested. Maybe we will end up with them as neighbors down the road…stranger things have happened I guess!

Getting back to camp at 2:00 we pulled the awning back out and relaxed under it enjoying a cool breeze as we read. Since we are close to the laundry room I did one quick load, which should give us a little breather as far as laundry is concerned for several days. Now we are just enjoying watching all the activity in camp as folks get back in from their day traveling out and about, build up their campfires and get ready to enjoy their evening here. We will have supper in Mufasa this evening…it has been a good day.

By the way, we broke all records driving today…it was a total of exactly 0 miles!!

PS...you may or may not notice that we have changed the title of this particular blog. Since we have gotten several pushy questions the last few days regarding when we are going to be heading home, the new title seems appropriate!  ;-) After all, if we don't exactly know where we want to end up, we can't actually be done with this trip and ready to head back to the nest until we know where "there" is!!

Sounds like a totally lovely day. I am not a sisterchick but I like jewelry so maybe I can qualify, LOL LOL!

Hi you two... Lake Geo is a beautiful area. If you have not been to Bennington, VT, charted in 1749, it is very interesting with it's Revolutionary War Battle of Bennington Monument, Museum of Bennington with it's Grandma Moses gallery, and Bennington pottery. The Blue Benn Diner is quite famous. It can be crowded, so go "off" time.

Thanks Linda and Tom. We have been to Bennington several times but don't think we will be going that far east this trip. We will be heading more north from here. We LOVED that town and Vermont in general.

Thanks for including me on the blog! I love that you went 0 miles today. :) I am preparing for Sunday morning at Providence Church, but there is a part of me that wishes I was in a lawn chair overlooking St. George with you guys!

I mean Lake George! I told you I was in church mode. :)

I am so happy you are having a wonderful trip and I just love all the pictures and glad you are taking is slow. I am so happy Jacob wrote in the blog. I was just thinking I can't wait to go to church tomorrow and listen to him speak. I know I miss you lots but want you to travel and have a wonderful time and enjoy relaxing as much as possible.

Do breakfast tomorrow morning at Adirondack General Store. When you come back down East Shore Drive and view the cabins along there, especially the ones at Sand Point, you will understand my love affair with Schroon Lake. Now if you want to really do a GREAT evening meal there is the Friends Lake Inn which is internationally acclaimed. Ann and I celebrated our anniversary there s few years ago.

Happy Trails

We did not have wifi last night at the state park in Colorado. I tried doing my blog today at the South Fork campground but things are not working and I am getting very frustrated. The wifi is VERY slow and I could not publish my writing. I am not a happy camper. =)

I know it can be frustrating Laura and I feel your pain! Just write your blog on the computer and save it up until you get better wifi and post all at the same time. Love you and know you are having a good time. Travel safely. Mom and Dad
