As I sat wondering if the roads would clear up enough for us to hook up and hit the road, Dale was on his way home. The "Chains Required" restriction had been lifted on the Siskiyou Pass and an hour after the restriction was lifted, we were on the road.

Mt. Ashland had a fair amount of snow on the road but the freeway was clear of snow and ice - clear past Dunsmir, CA! It must of been a God thing! We even arrived in Corning in record time for us - 3.5 hours.

We stop at the Rolling Hills Casino because we very much enjoy their buffet. We don't see this as a "regular" buffet at all. The food is delicious, well prepared and presented. We especially like coming here on Tuesday and Thursdays because it is "buy one - get one free" for seniors. But, alas, it was Friday for us and the most expensive night of the week because it was "fish night." Oh my! All kinds of fish and so yummy. We went to bed full and happy.

We parked clear in the back away from the trucks with some other RVers. They have an RV Park with full hookups but since that cost money and we spent a wad on dinner, we just pull in between two yellow lines and go to sleep. We did take the dog for a long walk in the field behind us. We needed to work off some calories too!

We woke up to trucks all around us, running of course. After a good breakfast - still the same quality of food at the buffet - we hit the road to Lodi and Grandma's house (actually, Dale's folks, but Morgan our dog loves them to pieces.)

We arrived in Lodi about 1:30. An uneventful journey. Morgan knew where she was and enjoyed every minute of the day with the folks.

One day of travel down!
