So it is only two days until my 27th birthday! I know you are all wondering what address to overnight mail all those packages to, right? Well the other day I treated myself to a big ole steak with prawns and some guiness, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It was pretty amazing, though I would like to say that the guiness brewed in Nepal just isn't as tasty as that of Ireland. I have also tried out a few other beers and quite a few other dishes which included meat of various animal origins. I am convinced after the time in India that while I can survive as a vegetarian, it isn't nearly as tasty as eating the seared flesh of some poor defenceless animal. So it looks like we will be skipping Bangladesh due to a lack of time. This however isn't a terrible dissapointment due to the trip winding down and us being a bit wound down also. We will be arriving in Bangkok on the 7th and will mostly likely fly home two or three weeks later. There are however many many countries that we have on our list to visit in the future. I think I mentioned in my last entry that Nepal is a terribly wonderful country to explore. We haven't had any run ins with rhinos lately but we are nearly hit by cars every single day. If anyone from home wants anything super cool from Nepal or Thailand they better start emailing me pretty damn quick because so far your all getting nada. Seriously, it is pretty hard to decide what to get people because there is so much stuff here, lots of it being crap. My original theory was to wander around and wait until an item jumped out screaming "I'm the perfect gift for ......" So far this has only happened once, and i'm not telling who is the lucky winner. Oh lucky day for me today, I finally found the used book store that has Terry Pratchett's first book. I had found it a few days earlier and then promptly forgot where the store was. Today however everything is going alright and I am the proud owner of a slightly battered copy of The Carpet People. I am sure the only person reading this who is at all impressed is my dad. Oh! I also found a place that sells all sorts of switchblades. I was tempted to replace my poor stolen Hungarian switchblade (dirty bastards of Gulf Air) except that all the blades that I have seen are quite ugly. Anywho, I am getting thirsty so I think I'll wrap this up.
