Good Afternoon everyone. Well it is Memorial day and once again we slept in until the boat traffic and sunshine woke us up. We are here in Fort Lauderdale visiting Tamara's uncle and we live on a 53' sailboat for the time being. It is located downtown amongst the canals. We really havent done much of anything lately aside from some suntanning and a bit of sunburning in my case. Last night we hopped in the Atlantic for some evening body surfing but that didn't last long because a riptide developed that tried to take us to Europe without a boat :) Oh, just to make everyone a little jealous I have a thought for you all. Tomorrow when you are at work, just remember I'll be sitting on a hammock in the sun, rocking in the breeze, watching boats go by. I know it will be hard but I'll manage to sit there for at least an hour or so before I have to go get something to drink or maybe check the fishing lines.

Finding a boat to Europe may actually turn out to be somewhat difficult though, a couple days ago we were up in Cocoa Beach (I know, I never get to go anywhere nice LOL) and the security there has been upped so much since Sept. 11 that it is almost impossible to even talk with the people at the cruise ships. We were pretty dissapointed and towards the end of the day we had pretty much given up and were ready to just get a flight to Europe. We headed into Orlando and went to the airport to be told by the very courteous people that the flight would run us about $1500. That sort of cash is way to much of course so that bummed us out even further. The next morning we came down to Fort Lauderdale where Chris has given us hope again. Chris has been helping us in locating a ride over and it looks like we have a pretty good chance with a mega yacht (100'+) and if that doesn't happen we can probably hop a freighter ship. Personally I think a yacht would just be too nice. As a side note, if you stand outside a hotel with your bags you can get a ride to the airport from the courtesy shuttle and then you can take another courtesy shuttle from the airport to a different hotel. You can go to practically any place in a city this way as long as you don't mind being dropped off in front of hotels.

Well the hammock is calling me and I should probably check my fishing lines.
