The rest of my time here will be spend carving around moutain roads, constantly adjusting to the temperature changes as I vault up and down the Northern Andean chain. The drivers here are the most loco I´ve encountered, and I´ve seen some nut jobs along the way. Despite the signs every 25 meters warning of ´dangerous roads´ and ´high collision´ areas, the bus drivers pass on the tighest of turns
As much as I try to resist comparing places to others I´ve been, after six months of travel this becomes rather futile. The vibrancy and hospitality of the people in Colombia reminds me of Mexico and I´m happy to have that back. The food leaves something to be desired, especially breakfast. Colombians have mastered the deep fryer, some of the more interesting ones: eggs, muffins, fried chicken - all deep fried. For those who know my breakfast routines you could see how this would be a slight adjustment for me!
But Colombia is a fantastic country with a ton to offer and I plan on discovering much of it.
