We headed north to Passu from where there are a number of good day walks.
On route we headed up the Nagar Valley along another 2 hour bumpy jeep journey, ending up in a small village called Hoper, famous for the massive glacier next it. The glaciers are really eerie, almost alive, as they creak and melt in the sun. Rocks continually fall down as the ice melts.
Passu boasted a surprisingly nice restuarent famed for its delicious apricot cake, which we devoured a whole one.
The next day we did 2 beautiful walks around Borit Lake and Ghulkin Glacier and the 2nd to Passu glacier, which is bright white and spiky.
