Arrived in the early hours of the morning. Even though we've been to India many times, you are struck by the poverty as soon as you arrive. So many people sleeping on the streets. It is heart wrenching. 5 hours to wait at the station. When we get there the waiting room is completely full and the rest room is also full. Do a bit of negotiation to spend the night in the station master's office. Repay him with a copy of the Daily Telegraph!!

Train is a bit late arriving but bliss when we finally get on. After a delicious breakfast of a chilli omlette, finally catch up on some well earned sleep in our comfy sleeper bunks. Finally arrive in Goa early evening. Reward ourselves with some ice cold beers and a delicious chinese meal.
