16th to 20th Sept 2007 Well I finally made it back to Bangkok today after a 12 hour bus journey from Siem Reap, Cambodia. The journey to the Cambodia/Thailand border was horrendous - pot holes all along the road. Good job the suspension on the bus stood up to the test. Once we got to Thailand it was like a different world, smooth roads and a plush, comfy bus. The last 4 days I have been touring around the temples of Angkor. Hired a personal tuk tuk to take me around. The temples are amazing, fantastic architecture. Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm (think Tomb Raider) were my favorites. At Ta Prohm you could just wander around for hours exploring all the nooks and crannies. Yesterday was a rest day from the temples and just walked round the town and around "Pub Street". A couple of restaurants that I enjoyed were the Red Piano and Kamasutra (Indian). So here I am back in Bangkok but it is only a flying visit this time. Tomorrow I head down to Phuket for some R and R (rest and relaxation). Hope all is going well back home. Duncan
