The Red Lake (Lacu Rosu) was nice but not spectacular. We saw all of the dead tree stumps that jut out of the water. A landslide occured in 1838, flooding the valley, and damming the Bicaz River, but there are a lot of myths surrounding the lake and the weird trees. We had a nice lunch at a outdoor restaurant. We wimped out because of the cold weather and rain and ate upstairs in a pleasant room - with carved wood, naturally.
I think the onion pictures come here in this part of the drive although I'm confused where we actually saw these wonderful displays.
