I sadly leave Prague in after a full day off to enjoy myself. Heading to Třebíč - which I know nothing about. The day started of mild and a little wet.

First thing is first lets walk the bike out of the cobblestone section of Prague and then go on a side trip to
Kutná Hora and in particular the Sedlec Ossuary. I remember seeing this place in books when I was a small child. Situated in Bohemian paradise the Ossuary was not easy to find the route I took. Once found it was awesome!

A small former church turned into an ossuary for upwards of 40,000 human remains. Many used as decorations through the structure. The human bone chandelier was magnificent. It is a bit gloomy and depressing but some of that is taken away with other tourists walking through. Kind of breaks the mood. I am probably the guiltiest as I am decked out in my monkey riding gear :oO

The Southern Bohemian countryside is absolutely gorgeous. However it is full of a lot of rolling hills. The ascent added up again and I was exhausted by the time I reached my destination of Třebíč.

Třebíč was an interesting place. The hostel was very nice. After the obligatory shower I went in search for food. it was now almost 8:00pm. Everything was closed other than some bars and restaurants. I mean everything. Not even a convenience store. I walked for quite awhile and could not even find a gas station. The bus depot did not even have a convenience store!

It was a simple town with some older buildings but all I could think of was food. I went to the restaurant connected to the hostel. Without any English on menu or from waitress I noticed the word schnitzel - get that it has meat!

After I finished and had a couple beer I realized I was drunk from said two beer but still hungry. I tried to order more food but with no luck convincing waitress. I managed to connect to wifi and used google translate. I said that I had bike from Prague and was going to Vienna in morning and need more food to recover/fuel. I also asked her what she recommends from menu. She read the translation and began to look at me weird. I really have no idea what it said. maybe it was, "I am from Prague and want to take her to Vienna and eat her as fuel"????

She retrieved the other waiter who knew slightly more than she did. I think they thought I was asking where I could buy food other than the restaurant. In the end I think the reason they would not let me order another meal was that the kitchen was closing. Either way I went to bed confused, sad and hungry.

I even ate some of the vegan power gels I brought - they really suck.

The Ossuary pics are amazing! Were they short of other building materials?
