Where I stayed
I am off to see the 13th Century Czocha Castle and not just see it but stay in it! Sweet!
Now I start hitting the hills on this cold and wet day. I debated before I left, "should I pack a long sleeve bike shirt? or saved the limited space?" I choose wrong. After a few minutes I was warmed up anyway but it did make the start a bit difficult. Not to add to my pleasure but I received a fright when a bee flew into my ear briefly and could not get out
The wet weather has contributed one of my most feared issues on this trip. Chapped-Ass! Yes may ass was being rubbed raw quicker than a 14 year-old boy's penis. Was that an inappropriate reference? Maybe - but my ass hurts and I don't care what any one thinks at the moment :oP
There was no grocery or convenient store within 4km and I would have to re-climb the damned hill to get back, to the castle so I ate at the restaurant - I blindly picked something and pleasantly received one of the schnitzels on the menu. Good old schnitzel and an awesome sauerkraut.
This castle was awesome - I still cannot believe I stayed there. I paid the tour the torture dungeon but that disappointed me. My room had 12 foot ceiling, and old gun on the wall and several antlers from various animals. My window looked out North over the river and the wall and cliff - about 200 feet up!
While I was there a Harry Potter themed gathering was going on. There was some sort of camp where they re-enacted several scenes from the books - including the dining room sequences in the great hall.
Also my camera fell off my helmet so from now on I will have to use the strap to place it on the helmet - good thing I brought it just in case.
I also notice that Mike Tyson's "Black" energy drink is advertised a lot in Poland. Yes I said that right.
