Headed out of Vagas on the 4 hour drive to the Grand Canyon. First stop the Hoover Dam. Seems like the entire SW of the USA and southern california relies on this Dam for its water supply. Rugged area to put it. Grand Canyon a bit of a let down after Moab and all the other sights seen since. Lightning meant that one part was cordoned off. Hopefully see it in the morning but in my view Canyonlands and Dead Horse Point far better both the actual canyons (red with no trees) and the trails and lookouts and the reduced number of people. Tomorrow will begin the journey back to northern california. Should take two days.
