Howdy Y'all!

Welcome to my blog.  I thought I would make a stab at this whole blogging thing since it would be a good way for me to re-connect, as well as to document this grand adventure I'm about to undertake.  I was recently inspired to write more and along with my New Year's resolution I thought that this trip is better reason than ever to further my literary musings. I thought I should set the scene of my life in its present moment, as with the vast audience I expect this blog to have, some of you may not know what context this trip is in...some of you might even be surprised to see that it lists "Savannah" as my current city, as I have not been diligent in keeping in touch and updating people regularly!

Shortly after college, I moved across the country to Savannah and have been working for International Paper (a paper company).  While it's been good experience for, it was difficult to be so far from the people most important than me.  I recently encountered an opportunity which will allow me to move back to Los Angeles and work for a new company. So, on May 2nd I will start working for GAF, a manufacturer of asphalt roofing shingles.

The last year and half of my life has been highly mobile.  I traveled 50K miles last year and now I'm getting ready for the next travel adventure. Since I graduated, I wanted to take a multi-week backpacking trip somewhere in the world, but did not have the resources to fund such a trip.  Last summer, I had an amazing time in Europe with my family, but did not have the time to stay as long as I would have liked.  Now I have the rare synchrony of time and money to allow this long awaited journey to transpire.

Anyways, I would like to thank y'all for taking the time to visit this travel blog.  My three goals for myself in updating this blog during the next two months.  First, I hope to create a medium that documents and illustrates my travels.  Second, I hope to use this blog to hopefully reach out and get in touch with more people that I haven't had the chance to contact lately.  Lastly, I hope to possibly inspire some who are on the cusp of deciding to get out and do something to go ahead and do it!  Whether it be traveling, moving, or starting a new hobby, this blog will hopefully have a little of all of that, so maybe something motivational can be found in my typing.  So feel free to stop by my blog, leave a message, make suggestions for my travel or my move, and enjoy!

Next to come...finer trip details.
