Hi all. I`ve found a free computer so thought that I`d add some stuff and maybe some photos and videos later. You have to normally fight for the computer a bit (most mexicans are quite small but the americans can be a bit heavy to carry).

The last few days have been pretty good. We`ve been staying in a small town called Los Barriles south of La Paz. The campsite is right on the beach and every morning we open the tent and look at the sea and mountains and wait for the sun to work round and then when it comes in the tent we get up. Very cruisy. It gets windy about 11 and then stays till 4 or 5. Blew for 3 days out of 4 but was nice when it didn`t as I went swimming.

The people there are all americans and so nice to us. We were hitching rides in the back of their trucks the two miles to town. They leant us tent pegs, ice, bbq grills, a chair, ....... the list goes on and on. Reg hasnīt done a great deal because he can`t go in the water. He`s taking it pretty well and I have to pin him down and pull them out with a leatherman.

The other night we had a bbq on the beach and cooked steak and sweet corn. The campsite is designed for big rv camper things so we had to dig a pit and cook on the embers of a fire. Good fun but the food either comes out cremated or undercooked so a bit of a lottery.

We hitched to the bus stop in the back of a pickup and then hitched a 2 half hour lift back to La Paz with a girl called Brizze. We made a big sign and stood on the road for twenty minutes after waiting for the bus that was 2 hours late and saved 10 quid each. She only stopped because she thought that we were with a girl so we got her to have a lift aswell.
Think that as soon as reg is a bit better we`ll head back to Los Barriles. Although the girl gave us her number for a back trip and asked if we wanted to go down south and stay with her and her friends.

Sounds a little risky though as the chance of reg being rapped by crazed spanish girls whilst hitchhiking may be high. Saying that we almost got a lift with two very dodgy looking characters. One who tried to get us in a saloon car with 3 of them already and two spare tyres in the boot and all our stuff, and then a mad looking mexican who looked pissed and drove a knackerd beetle.

Bought a guitar today in La Paz as there isnt much to do in Los Barriles on the beach after it gets dark and had our washing done by a very nice lady in the laundrette. All is going well. The next investment is some bubble wrap for reg for the next kiting excursion.
