Where I stayed
Well we survived the first longer drive of the trip - Perth to Geraldton - it'd be nicer if Denzel slept a little longer and didn't squeal every time he wants anything... and if Ethan stopped asking for something to eat every 30 seconds or so... but at least we got here safely. We enjoyed catching up with Nathan and Sanna and kids and went and visited our block in Sunset Beach. Nice to see it in person and not just on google earth or as a block diagram in an advertising brochure. Kids love the sand dunes nearby that you walk over to get to the beach and all are keen to get their "surf boards" and come back and try out the waves. So far only one other house is built in the area - thankfully it's pretty much right behind our block so they can block out some of the sand. The owners informed us that the builders had to empty the gutters of sand even before they moved in. Jeremy's still very optimistic about it all and the boys are sold even more on the idea of moving to Geraldton after seeing the block and McDonald's and the new play area at the foreshore. It's definitely an improvement on what it used to be and we can imagine spending a few picnics there in the future. As it was, we ate pizza at the foreshore and were reassured by Sanna that it hadn't been as windy recently as it was tonight..... guess we'll just have to get used to that again, along with the flies which we noticed as soon as we got out of the car. Hope you are all enjoying your life wherever you are. Chat soon - hopefully in Carnarvon - our scheduled stop for tomorrow.
