Finally I managed to go to the Egyptian museum, one of the ultimate must-sees in Cairo. Alfredo joined me on this trip into the history of Egypt: prepared with a guide we saw loads of old statues, coffins, jewellery and masks. The most fascinating thing to me (already since I was young) was the mask of Tut-Anch-Amun, an unbelievable masterpiece made of gold. To me it was a very good decision to wait with the visit of the Egyptian museum until the end, so that I could put the things in context with the temples and places I had seen so far around Egypt.
After the museum Amr took me out for dinner and we went to a club for Salsa dancing. But unfortunately the music in this place was not fitting to our expectations, so that we decided to leave earlier.
