My goal for the day was to do as little as possible.. I figured what better way to accomplish this goal than to visit the famous Pilsner brewery.

After wandering aimlessly for awhile.. trying to figure out how EXACTLY to cross 4 lanes of highway to get to this treasure trove of beer magnificence.. I finally decided the best way was to just run to the islands between the roads and hope chance was on my side..  it was.. or it was just toying with me.  In either case, I managed the arduous journey to the promised land.  It was worth the epic quest for the spoils of the campaign were legendary.

As Peter Griffin said (Family Guy) " I felt like I died and went to heaven.. but then they decided it wasn't my time... so they sent me back to a BREWERY!"

Most of you know that  I have been privileged enough to visit quite a few brewery tours (including whiskey.. etc etc..)  and this one was just as unique as the others. They showed us their brewing process and took us on the tour of the cellar -- where the last remaining Cooper's are employed (only 10.._) and showed how they used to store and haul the liquid bread.  Then came the climax of the tour..  the beer tasting.  They gave us unpasteurized, unfiltered Pilsner. Had a more unique taste then the usual stuff you get at the pubs.. and was definitely worth a taste.  (in other words..  normally the beer will be pasteurized using Flash Boiling technique.. a very high temperature and short timed pasteurization technique..  and unfiltered, meaning the yeast -- used in the fermentation process and is usually recycled for the next batch- was still present making the beer cloudy.     Impressed with my knowledge of beer and.. beer accessories?? I think its more of my geekyness seeking through than anything else...)

Onwards and upwards..  the brewery had a kinda neat life sized chess board with pieces of various Pilsner paraphernalia.

Exciting Huh?
