The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. We went to see a short tour of one of the medical centers and then called it a night.
The next day we went on a tour of Greenwitch to see the Marintine museume and the observatory
. It wasnt bad, but after we got back I was able to see london at night. It was really much more beautiful than I had remembered. For whatever reason I made the mistake of thinking I could walk from the house of parlement to tower bridge. While it only looked like a few inches on the map... it took me about 2 hours or so walking! Needless to say I took the underground back. It was worth the journey though as I was able to figure out the lay of the land better and see the river the whole way.
Sunday morning I went to harrods.. which was closed until noon.. so i walked further down to see the science museum err, what I meant was i went to look at the hot rod museum.... at any rate I was able to hit up Harrods on teh way back for bout a half hour. Thats all I could stand!! I'm sure most people could be set loose in there for days at a time but I had about enough after a few minutes!! It was really pretty crazy place though.
Remember what I had said about how things have been working out pretty smoothly? I had planned on meeting up with my health tour group late friday night. My flight didnt allow me to meet up with them until after they had gone on their short tour. When I arrived in the airport i bought a ticket for the bus... little did i know it was really a big mistake. I had to wait at least a half hour just to get a seat and then another hour or so to get to victoria station (near the hotel). After debarking and asking for directions... I see a group of groggy tourists with bags falling all over. As im sure you figured out.. it was my study tour! They had been delayed so by seer luck i had ran into them on the street!
