After breakfast, we tried to find a snorkel site. There were two good sites nearby, Fowl Cay and Little Mermaid Cay. Both sites were too rough and choppy to snorkel and dive comfortably. We had wanted to stay in Hope Town the day before, but the moorings were full. Ted radioed the Hope Town marina early in the morning and they had a vacant mooring we could reserve for the night.
We headed from the Man of War area back south to Hope Town. It is only about a fifteen minute ride, so we arrived in time for a great lunch at Captain Jack's restaurant. There was open air seating with a beautiful view of the town and harbor. The food was some of the best we had so far. I had a blacken grouper Reuben that was delicious.
Katy and Judy wanted to go shopping. We left them the portable VHF radio to hale us with, and Ted and I returned to the boat. Ted was waiting of a diesel mechanic and I was determined to get the external dialing working for Skype
We spent much of the night using Skype to contact friends and family in the US. It only cost 2-3 cents per minute compared to $5-6 for cell phone (usually no cell signal). WiFi is available in almost every marina, and you can purchase a roaming plan for $120 month. They use the MAC address as the identifier, so Ted and I use my travel wireless router to link the two PCs and share the connection. At the end of the night, we had called most of the children, made marina reservations in Freeport (Port Lucaya Marina) and West Palm Beach., and we had only spent slightly more than one euro.

Dingy Ride to the marina
. They sell 10 euros of calling time which equated to about 10 hours of talking time. I was impressed, my credit card company refused to OK the transaction, but I received a display from Bank of America asking me to approve the purchase. After I approved the transaction as being legitimate, BOA authorized the purchase. We spent much of the night using Skype to contact friends and family in the US.
