Left Lanyard Cay and found that even as large as Ted's boat is, we rocked a bit as we made our way to Sandy Cay to snorkel. The winds were about 20 knots. We decided to snorkel at Sandy Cay because Jim & Melissa enjoyed snorkeling there so much last week and Ted said it's one of the prettiest spots he's ever been snorkeling, with a long reef. Thank goodness we had practiced a bit yesterday because when Judy hit the water she began to get strangled - forgot all about clearing her snorkel and inhaled water first thing. But being the trooper she is, she went on in anyway. Katy was already in the water and after a few minutes took Judy by the hand and guided her along the reef. We saw a barracuda (and Judy didn't freak!), lots of beautiful coral and several different fish. At one point, Judy thought the water was very shallow over some coral and was afraid she'd get on in like she did when snorkeling three years ago, our first snorkeling experience. Joe took over then, holding Judy by the hand and guiding her along Bahamian Banking Hours

. When she kicked, her fins hit his legs but he didn't seem to mind, just kept dragging her along. Finally, we were all exhausted from fighting the big waves and Ted reached the boat first and threw out a buoy with a rope attached - YAY! It was good to get out of the water and back on the boat! Then we began our ride to Hope Town. Along the way, we passed Cracker P's where we ate before, and the villa where we stayed. It's a pretty pink house on stilts set back in some trees, but not as many trees as before due to the hurricane last fall. We passed a castle along the way and soon saw the famous candy striped lighthouse at Hope Town Marina. We hoped to moor there for the night, but when Ted radioed them they said they were full. So.....on to Man O War Marina, where we did moor. This is an interesting area, where no alcohol is allowed and the Hibiscus Café where we had planned to eat was closed with a sign first quoting scripture concerning "a day of rest." The mode of travel is golf carts. The First Caribbean Bank is only open on Wednesday from 10 to 2 - Chad & Jane need to suggest this to SunTrust! But probably not on Chad's first week. We ate conch & shrimp, topped off with a Mexicana Pineapple Cake with cream cheese icing - YUM! Then we bought postcards and Ted & Katy took the dinghy back to the boat to get a pen and some cards they needed to send, then we took them to the post office. The lady there was very friendly and had visited NC before. Then we shopped at a couple more stores, and Katy bought some batik fabric in beautiful pastels. Then we returned to the boat for "the usuals,"
