Charles was first tutored and then went to school at the Shrewsbury School. It was a boarding school for boys from the region. It is currently the city library with a bronze statue of Charles sitting in front of it. The interior has been changed to make shelf space for the library, but many details of the school were left.

I got to actually sit in the room where Charles sat to do his studies and sit in the room that was his school library when he went there. I even got to look out the same windows he would have looked out and I saw much of the same scenes. Obviously the castle was already there when he was.

Love how you put yourself in his footsteps with the "daydreaming" out the window photo.
