Noe the second tallest tower in the world, I was up for the monument know as Taipei 101. So I ventured there first. The first thing one notices is that it does stand out somewhat! It also has the fastest elevator in the world which I was quite keen to go. Yes it was fast and yes the Taipei 101 was everything it cracked up to be. Rather than walking away from it looking at it as just another tall sky scraper, there was a look and feel about it that was actually really impressive. From there I ventured on to other sites around the city that in my humble opinion were all in walkable distance from one another. So it was nice to avoid the MRT all day.

During the course of the day I had difficulty trying to find on of the landmarks, so I asked a random local. Who I got for my money was an awesome dude called Ken. He was so helpful. He gave me a ride on his scoter to where I wanted to go and gave me some follow on instructions. Because I had gone running so early, my tourism venture for today at least was over by 3pm. As for the rest of the dat I was to spend it conversing with my fellow hostel members. Then in the common room walks Katherine. An awesome chick from the U.S.A who was all kitted out in her `soccer' gear - we had to have words about that actually as the Englishman in me tried to emphasise the word football to her. Something we debated for quite a few minutes. Anyway she had come back from practice and conversation struck. I was meant to meet Mikal tonight. Alberto whom I'd met in the Philippines was the mutual contact, for a bit of partying. That arrangement ran smoothly enough but I ended up having so much fun talking to the crew t the hostel I hit the club later on with them and told Mikal I'd meet him in there.

Giving credit where credit was due it was quite a nicely designed club. Very ostentatious stuff. The boys went in like a pack f hungry Wolves, aiming to get laid. I was just marvelling at how skimpy the Taiwanese dressed and they way of behaving. as for the Taiwan guys! They were quite the showboaters. I definitely was beginning to feel old and out of place in there, as one of my crew John, claimed he got talking to a girl who claimed to be 12. I pray to this day, that he miss heard what she had to say. The music wasn't to my liking but I had the odd shimmy.. Eventually it was home time and my eyes were fading fast in that taxi. Home time
