The 16th started early with a pick up for the lion walk. We went to the scrub land to firstly watch a video about the programme to breed and re-introduce lions into areas where they have been lost, or serious number decline has occurred and as part of this they introduce them to people at a young age. We then met our three lions for the morning Nala, Narnia and Amanzi...two 10month olds and a 6month old. They were so cute and we could stroke them and they would play around, and walk with us...and let us walk holding their tails. It was an amazing experience. Towards the end Amanzi got a little excited and stole Greg's hat...which took some effort by the guides to get it back. We then went for breakfast and to watch the video of our walk...a great morning. The afternoon was passed fairly sedately, then in the evening we went on a sunset cruise on the Zambezi. It was lovely to just saunter up the river...with islands belonging to Zambia on one side and zimbabwe on the other...seeing hippo and birds. Meanwhile, due to free alcohol flowing, some of the guys decided to salute each boat that passed us by on the river...with a moonie...it did actually get quite entertaining when people would cheer back...but there were some very pissed people when we disembarked a couple of hours later. We headed back to the campsite...where i got pizza for dinner...and a fight broke out...which kinda took the edge of the evening...and it ended up being a late one...but a good day anyway.

th Ronnie and Peter headed back to Zambia to hopefully get the truck...i whiled away the morning and early afternoon chilling out, and writing postcards etc...then at about 3.30 Sara, Tracey, Laura and I headed down to the falls for the Zimbabwe view...we got there about 4pm and just leisurely wandered around with the sun setting behind us, and with the spray from the falls hitting us like a light rain in places (despite being around 100metres above the falls). It is beautiful...we ended up leaving at 6.15...thinking for a moment we'd been locked in as the sun had set and the gate looked closed from a distance. Then we headed back to the campsite and chilled and chatted the evening away.

th Not a huge amount to say...updated blog...wrote some postcards...chilled at campsite...wandered round town...got an ice cream...went out for dinner with Sara and Greg...that was about it. We also got news that the truck wasn't gonna be there for a departure first thing the next morning so 3 of the group decided to leave independently the next morning...so arranged stuff and said goodbye to us.

th Greg and I headed down to the Falls bridge this morning, just to have a walk across it and take some photos...two countries in one day...watching rafters below and bungee jumpers take their leaps...then headed here...been told the truck should arrive tomorrow so we'll see what happens but for now just chilling here in Vic Falls...a better place to be stuck than Chipata...but that didn't take much! Spent the Afternoon at a nice hotel...just wander in, no one questions us...and going to splash out on a nice dinner tonight as a group...think we deserve it...! Till the next update...

th Group meal last night was great...we had a real laugh...very chilled. This morning haven't done much...going for some lunch now...been promised truck should be here today...and then moving on tomorrow...fingers crossed

st Truck should be here shortly...they were driving it to the border last night...so hopefully will be moved on today.
