Now they needed to start to think of dinner, we had little left in the truck, and as it was my team's turn to cook and indy had gone out for the afternoon with Ange, Dom and Yvette that left me and tracey to sort out the shopping
. This entailed a trip into Jinja town...about 10mins on the back of a scooter...well i had never been on any type of bike in my life except a push bike...sorry mum i wasn't given a choice...so holding on as tight as i could i rode on the back of this bike into Jinja. When we were nearly there the bike Tracey was on ran out of petrol so she had to squidge on our bike too (very cosy). We did our shop...with overspend...no i wasn't in control of the budget for all those who know me well.
On our return, Greg and i went for a walk, and Sara got to the front of the queue for the Bungee (the girl who said that she wouldn't probably do it was all of a sudden getting her feet tied together and a rope attached 44metres above the nile - MAD!!) Greg and i quickly dashed with my camera to prime position and caught the moment when sara 'stepped off a perfectly good bridge' headed for the nile... she LOVED it and we were all Very, very proud of her and none of us (including Sara) could quite believe she'd gone through with it! :-)
On our return, we cooked a stunning stirfry!! Whilst England was playing - and winning - with me running back and forward when people yelled!
So in the morning at our campsite in Jinja, we knew not a lot was happening...so a very long awaited shower greeted me after a delicious breakfast. Then we sat in the bar and read books and talked and whiled away quite a lot of hours...watching people bungee and watching monkeys play in the trees too. At about 2pm there was cheers as the truck rolled in, they had needed it out of Idudi as while it was there they couldn't leave it unattended...so they had tied wood with rope to the drive shaft to keep it in place enough to move it and then drove very slowly (they did about 70 kilometres in 2 and a half hours) till they arrived, they stopped and tried to turn the truck round and the make shift hold broke, they were very lucky to make it to us.
