Afterward I find a Spanish Car-phone warehouse and buy a Samsung Y, its not a bad phone but overpriced. Unfortunately they have no adapters so I have to go back to the Internet shop. I feel very embarrassed to ask for the adapter, but he says give me the phone and sets it up with the adapter. He changes the phone to English and sets up all the systems for me, he then charges me just 1 Euro
I do a little sight seeing but spend the rest of the day in the hostel taking it easy. I meet Chris, a jobbing actor from Glasgow, he has bad blisters so also rests up today. He is in his thirties and awaiting his big break. He is a great character on the Camino, as he sings, jokes and entertains all. He is between jobs so take the chance to re-evaluate his life. He has been in Taggart and other things, but has trouble now that so many independent companies are finished. He talks of the Camino and changing his life, I cannot help but feel the problems you leave are the problems you will find on your return. However I have realized how much I miss my family and friends, so maybe I am learning something.
Chris and I talk of all those we have met, it seems many people have only come for Easter, we are sure every teacher in Ireland was on the Camino. Now everyone that is left still walking is between jobs, retired, or been made redundant. I am the only one who actually seems to have a holiday, maybe I will find out more on my return......
