tbilisi to yerevan is a nice enough bus ride. i was even lucky enough to escape paying for the $20 U.S. for my 3 day armenian transit visa. dunno how that happened.
i was a bit fluey in yerevan, so i didn't see much of the city and didn't make the day trip to the nearby ancient greek temple of ebelebeladlabtla (i forget the name). although i did dicover that beer is right price in this city and the perv value is bloody tops.
next, the ride to iran, my main destinations in the region.
views of mt ararat in turkey from yerevan and for several hours of drivng thru the lower caucus mountains. lovely (not) soviet towns along the way, including lots of those lovely apartment block the russians used to be so fond of stuffing their USSR citizens in, in groups of 4 biuldings with a giant pole in the the centre to which a long pulley line is strung from every apartment to hang washing out to dry in the nice misty weather.
an introdution to iranians finally too, with the people on the bus all being very friendly.
