As we walked through the forest, Joseph would stop us once in a while to show us some original rainforest things like the rubber trees, so many different vines that can be used for water or as poison (you definitely don't want to get those mixed up) and other plants and trees with different uses.
We woke up to a fabulous looking day and the plan was to take a walk through the rainforest around the lodge. We started out on this nice path, but after about 20min, Joseph (our guide) took us off the beaten path and starts bush-wacking (I am serious, he had a machete and everything) a new path for us. It was a little crazy, but we managed. After 2 hours of treking, the sky opened up and rained on us for about an hour. We had been drench in sweat for the last 2 hours so the rain was actually a nice way to cool down, but we still walked for another hour before stopping for lunch. As we continued to walk all I could think of was "I am walking in the rain in the rainforest. How coo is this!!!" Lunch was grilled beef and fish with beans, rice and vegetable on the side.
