Is it so wrong of me to be sick of writing in this journal? Yeah, yeah, I know later that I'll cherish it as memories fade, but it's still a friggin' pain at the mo'. Done whinging.

I woke up to see the sunrise and I could tell already that the weather would be better. Hallelujah, and a resounding "Amen"!! I left Neskaupstadur at just after 8 and the initial scary drive over the fjords wasn't nearly so nail-bitingly bad without the fog. I traced back along everything I'd driven the day before but was able to see it and appreciate it all the more in clearer weather. I stopped at the pleasant Cafe Margret in Breiddalsvik for some java and consorted with a gregarious collie with some sort of vendetta against birds. He would sit with me and encourage me to pet him but as soon as he caught a glimpse of a bird flying tantalizingly near, he'd be off and barking. Dogs, what creatures, eh?

I reached Hofn fairly early at about 1:15. My guidebook informed me that there'd be internet access at the tourist information centre so I went there and did another entry on my blog (and I caught up a little on my friends Brett & Paul's blogs while I was at it) and sent my buddy Caralyn a birthday greeting card. Am now at my hotel Edda sitting outside and the weather is gorgeous. Tomorrow is the day I've been most anticipating (Look out Iceberg Lagoon! I'm a coming!), so if only the fine weather will hold...
