The flight to Samui was uneventful. We landed at night at the cutest airport I have ever seen. It looked like something from Gilligan's Island to land their airplane made from coconut shells and banana peels.

Our hotel was called like something "Samui Health Oasis" and they specialized in things like colonics, ionization therapy, magnetic realignments, etc. We didn't partake in any of that.

We did partake in coconuts however. Kim found them and Dave cracked them open. It took Dave about an hour to open a coconut and it wasn't for about a week that he learned some tricks (the best trick is to pay someone 50 cents to give you an opened coconut with straw).

We rented a moped for a day. It was Dave's first time to drive one and he did great. We zipped around part of the island and found a waterfall. It wasn't large or impressive but it was in a very pleasant setting with a buddhist temple.

Our last day we went to the harbor and mailed some things home. It cost way more than in Bangkok. We found a used book store and stocked up on books for our two weeks of relaxing on Ko Tao.
