We had one night in Rome before flying to Cairo. We stayed in a nondescript hostel and had a really nice final meal to say goodbye to Italy. I finally had Italian lasagna, something I had been wanting to try. It wasn't as good as Kim's, Mom's, or my lasagne but it was better than any others.

We did laundry, caught up somewhat on the Internet and did other mundane tasks to prepare to say goodbye to Europe. I left my driver's license at the Internet cafe (which turned out to be a hassle a month later when we rented a car in Israel).
