Our hosts have been great but we needed some alone time. We arbitrarily picked Bologna to get a hotel for three nights. This was our first time to get a hotel in Italy. We booked it quickly through www.hostelworld.com and had no idea what sort of place we were getting but the price wasn't very good (about $50 per night). It turns out that it was a pretty nice hotel with a wonderfully comfy king sized bed, fancy shower, balcony, and cable TV. I got to watch "Grease" dubbed in English. I realize that "Grease" was originally made in English but Italians love dubbing so much that I think they dubbed it into Italian and then back into English.

The hotel had a wonderful breakfast included. Tons of juice, pastries, fruit, and meat. Every morning we swiped a bit extra to have for lunch.
