Where I stayed
spent the day snorkeling the reefs a few meters from the
beach, I rented a bike and rode around the island, had a fun meal with
Lynn. We just laughed when the fresh spring rolls were still frozen.
Had my first Hookah pipe smoke at a beach side restaurant under the stars. Believe it or not, It is as close to a
bong as I have ever gotten. As a non smoker, I was surprised how easy it was to smoke, the water pipe makes for a very smooth smoking experience, honest. Life is good and I am totally relaxed.
next day I was feeling so good that I joined one of the Dive Shop's
Island clean-up detail and went out in the hot sun and picked up
trash. It was hot dirty work and quite disgusting. Hard to believe
that people living in such a beautiful but very self contained island
can be such litterbugs. The local muslims walking to prayer stopped to
thank me which was nice. They didn't quite jump into help though. The
least they could have done was thrown a couple of those virgins that I
have heard so much about my way.
I always thought I was
destined for a cold weather, northern latitude lifestyle. But these
past few days have me second guessing that. But all good things must
come to an end and I have to pack up one last time on this last good
day of the year.
