Hello friends and family,

Rey and I made it here to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye in Belize yesterday afternoon. Ambergris Caye is roughly 25 miles long, and it's longest width is 1/2 mile. Its small enough to maneuver easily by foot if you don't mind dripping in sweat by the time you get to your destination. I am writing you poolside sitting with some friendly folks from Sweden, England, and Canada.  The weather is sunny, clear and humid as hell.  We are about 2 blocks from the turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean, but we can still feel the cool ocean breeze. Rey started his scuba diving course this morning while I lounged around.  The rest of our day has consisted of swimming, sleeping and chatting by the pool.  Life is rough.
Ironically my Swedish friend and I share the same birthday so we have been sitting here planning some kind of crazy hotel bash for next Wednesday.  In reality the "crazy bash" will probably just be a downward spiral of drinking, but I can always hope for the best.
Tomorrow I will be joining Rey for her first open water dive and can hardly wait!  Belize is infamous for being the #2 best place in the world to's a freakin diver's mecca and I am anxious to take the plunge.

I will be sure to check in and write again in a few days.  I send you all my love!

OUT :)
