Today we are going to see a few more attractions, Mud Volcanos and Waterfalls. The guys are taking their fishing gear so I think they are planning to fish.

Manuel is staying at the campsite to take care of a couple of maintenance things going on with the RV.

We take off in the morning and are headed towards the northwest part of Yellowstone. The drive is gorgeous! So many beautiful lakes, rivers, meadows. We are also reaching a higher elevation so the scenery is greener and we are hoping to see more wild animals. A good part of the drive is along Yellowstone Lake, it is huge and there are absolutely gorgeous views all along the drive.

The Mud Volcanos are different than the geysers we saw before as the water is definitely muddy. These do not spurt out high streams of water. They do have steam and boiling areas. The smell of sulphur is also a little more intense. While walking the paths for this attraction, we run upon 3 bison that are grazing and moving slowly in this area. They are huge! At times they get a little to close for comfort. They literally sometimes are less than 100 feet from us. They can get aggressive and have gored visitors, so we try to be very careful not getting too close and not agitating them. However there are lots of other visitors so we hope they also have the same thoughts
in mind.

We continue on our sightseeing drive and stop at the Fishing Bridge. This is part of Yellowstone Lake and Yellowstone River. There was no fishing at the bridge area as fish are spawning. However, you can see the fish, some are very large and at times you see them jumping out of the water to catch bugs. It is another beautiful location.

A little further north we stop to view two huge waterfalls near Canyon Village, they are the Lower and Upper Falls. Wow, so many beautiful settings.

We visit the Grand Canyons of Yellowstone. Beautiful canyon formations with forest around them. What can I say, more beauty created by nature.

We visit the Tower of Roosevelt, which is a waterfall. Then head back. We are actually very close to the north entrance to the park at this point.

In Canyon Village we stop at the general store to look for souvenirs and take a break.

We head back. The guys find a fishing spot at Yellowstone River. The girls go back to campsite.

Alexis, Manuel and I start playing Texas Holdem and blackjack. Before you know it all the kids want to play. We keep the kids entertained, mainly Manuel, while dinner is prepared. We have hot dogs, hamburgers, and hot links for dinner. After dinner the kids want to keep on playing, Liana plays with the smaller kids, the older kids play with Manuel. The older kids are using chips as money, but the younger kids use candy for money. It is so funny to see them making bets with candy. You hear things like I just won 30 dollars worth of candy or I lost 65 dollars worth of candy.

The guys get back from fishing, Dustin caught a cutthroat. He let it go but has pictures to show us what he caught, he is so excited.

Tomorrow is Kayla's birthday.
