. The second stop was at the Barron falls and we made our way to the lookout and enjoyed as well our small packed lunch. As well a bush turky thought our lunch was rather good as it kept walking greedy around us. I guess people were feeding it before. The waterfall was amazing and its one of the most beautiful once I seen so far. We as well did an aboriginal guided walking tour there. Our guide Arun was pretty cool and he walked us around the bush and showed us a few great stuff such as food, medicine and as well there houses the lived in. Well it was more like a hut but it was their home. From all the tours I done so far I am always facinated by the state of development they were and how well they knew the forest and knew how to make use of it at the best. The tour itself was very good and Jen and I enjoyed it. From there we moved on with the skyrail to Kuranda, which was another great ride. In Kuranda we had a small stroll around the village and I as well found a nice place to get a didgeridoo. I think of buying one since a while but so far I couldn't get myself to do it as a good one is not cheap. Anyway we walked around town and down to the Barron River before we boarded our train back to Cairns. The train is the Kuranda scenic railway. The trainride was fanatastic in a train right from the 1920. It was so cool and the ride down was commented all the way. The train drove very slowly and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. We had again a great view over the Barron River Waterfalls, as well out to the reef. As the weather was fanatsic we even saw green island from the train. It was a very nice train ride in to Cairns where we arrived 2 hours later. In Cairns Jen and I decided to have Dominos AUS$5 pizza tuesdays. We took our pizza down to the esplanade where we enjoyed it followed by a small stroll around the marina.
After a few day's relaxing in Cairns. Jen and I decided to go for some aboriginal culture and visit the Tjapukai Culture park. It was a nice park and we were shown the dream time story of the Djabugay people. As well a little dance show and an induction to their bush food, medicine and weapons they used. It was very interesting to listen to their story and Jen and I as well tried out in throwing a returning Boomerang and a spear. It was good fun and we both seemed rather talented in it. We almost managed to get the boomerang all the way back, which felt great. As well throwing a spear with their technique. It was not easy at first both once you done it once you got the idea and it seemed more easy afterwards. Jen and I were pretty good in the spear throwing. One we done that we made our way next door to the Skyrail to Kuranda Village. The Skyreail is about 6km long over the rainforest. Along the way were 2 plaforms and the firstone had a small boardwalk around inthe rainforest which we done rather quickly
