Picking up a book on Boston slang is a must or we'll never know what they're saying to us! No "R's" but lot's of replacements with "W's".  We heard "You's Guys" and "idears" a lot but it was quite endearing of the people of Boston.  They are truly a friendly lot!
We started the morning with Day 1 of the Self-Guided Walking Tour - The Freedom Trail.  We visited Boston Common; King's Chapel and Burying Ground; Granary Burying Ground; First School Site; Old South Meeting House; Old State House;Faneuil Hall; Paul Revere House; the Old North Church;

The day was kind of cool but nice weather for walking.  It was so fascinating to see all the places where history was created.  These brick building sure to hold up for a long time!
In late afternoon, we will met up with our Trafalgar Tour Guide Anita and later attended a reception where we met the 50 other people going on the tour with us on the Autumn Colors Tour. We've got people from Australia, England, Philippines, New Zealand, Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Idaho, Oregon and the most from California!  Seems like a nice group that we'll have fun with for 8 days.

We ate dinner at the famous Cheers Restaurant.  It was so much fun to be there, even though it's a mile's walk from the hotel.
Up early tomorrow, with bags out of our room door by 7 am and on the bus by 8 am.
