We woke up late again! da da daaa....(that's for dramatic effect. it seems mom might add a little extra drama in her blogs...who knew?)...So, it might have been after 8am...it was a little darker out than usual. i thought it rained. rain was confirmed when we went out for breakfast and the weather chickens were wet! :)
Not to be the complainer all the time, but I have to say that the Comfort Suites breakfast buffet could be a bit better organized...out of the three days we have breakfasted, two have had serious shortages. I ended up with decaf coffee yesterday because both regular coffee urns were empty and today it was scrambled eggs. They were just refilled and I got the next-to-last servings. So, it isn't only Ethiopia with restaurant issues.
After a lot of research and a little extra snoozing on my end, we decided to go to see the starfish at Kaibo Point
See, Kara is much more positive than I, because one thing I remember most was having the mask filling with water. I tried both Kara's rejected mask and my old one and both seemed to be leaking. I had a nice second snorkel until I had to give up because I was drowning and then went back a third time with hopes of seeing more of the colorful coral and schools of yellow fish, but the water seemed hazier or it was my mask fogging up, so I headed in after a little while.
After that we hauled ourselves and belongings around Georgetown a bit
So our quiet night in our room consists of Kara crocheting a scarf for John and watching old Law and Order shows on the TV and I am reading a mystery book and trying to catch up on uploading photos. We ate some of the crackers and cheese and olives that I brought with us as well as my leftover fritter and plantains from Coconut Joe's. We really would have liked a bottle of wine to go with this feast - rather than the rest of the Gatorade - but wine and liquor stores are closed here on Sundays, as well as most other stores and even some restaurants....as well as some of the bus services. But, it is nice to have a down-day on a beach vacation!
