Fortunate for me to have spent 5 hours in the Delta SkyLounge in ATL Saturday prior to the 10 hour overnight flight to Buenos Aires.  These flights were uneventful.  Uneventful is great when flying!  In BA, I had to shuttle to the domestic airport (which on line blogs said was not efficient), but I used Manuel Tienda Leon ($14USD), and this too was uneventful.  Uneventful is nice when shuttling between airports anywhere, especially when tired and anxious. I had 4-5 hours to wait for my flight to USH, (although they offered me an earlier flight), I decided to hang out across the street in a park on the river because it was warm, sunny and windy in BA, and cold and rainy in USH.  I sported a well-deserved sunburn by the time I boarded my last 5 hour flight to USH.

The Patagonian lunar landscape became more jagged and barren en route south to the end of the world, beginning of everywhere:  Ushuaia, Argentina.  Of course, everyone on the plane was going to Ushuaia for backpacking Patagonia or as the gateway to Antarctica, so there was lots of apprehensive pax trying to get info from each other about this mysterious adventure we were all on.

I shared a cab with a man going to another hotel, and was then brought to mine.  When I was assigned to this overflow hotel, I was disappointed not to be at the Albatros in town where the majority of the pax overnight.  But the Hotel Las Lengas is beautiful, modern, immaculate and had a grand spread for breakfast.  They only two people chatting in the lobby were fellow pax.  We made arrangements to explore Ushuaia together the next day, as we were not boarding until 5PM.
