Day 18: Niagara Falls, NY (Four Mile Creek SP)

After many miles of travel the truck is ready for some service. We found a Toyota dealership in East Syracuse, NY that was able to service our vehicle with very little wait time. The oil change and tire rotation was done quickly and we were on our way in less than 30 minutes. We headed north to the shore of Lake Ontario where we would travel along the shore on route 104 and route 18. Route 18 offered some occasional views of Lake Ontario. There were a lot of private residences along the shore that prevented a full view of the lake and there were sections of the road where trees made it difficult to see the shore also. We stopped at one of the many NY state parks on the lake to have lunch. The park enable us to view the lake in full view while enjoying lunch. Temperatures reached 100 degrees today and the breeze from the lake helped a little but not much. I believe this is the hottest day that we have had on this trip. We are headed to Niagara Falls today and decided to camp at Four Mile Creek State Park just north of Niagara Falls on route 18. Niagara Falls is less than 20 minutes away from the camp. We setup camp and headed to the falls for some night viewing and we will be back tomorrow to view the falls in the daylight.
