Well, let me bring you up to date... From the cheap motel I rode north into Pa. and stopped at a very nice state park for the evening.. Way out in the woods and no other campers around, just the way I like it. One of the things I've learned about camping is always have EVERYTHING ready for rain, if you don't, it's sure to rain and then you're stumbling around in the rain at three AM trying to get everything covered.. It's no fun.. So, I was all set for it..

I awoke about two AM and heard the rain falling lightly, smiled that I was ready for it, and went back to sleep.. Got up about five thirty and when I walked outside, no rain had come down.. Bad dream maybe?? Had my coffe and was on the road about six thirty and didn't like the way the clouds were looking.

It started to rain by eight and rained and drizzled ALL DAY LONG!!!! Not a happy time for a biker.. I stopped and put on my weather gear and motored about 425 miles but it's never easy as the water on the road keeps you very tense.. And then those damn trucks just about blow you off the road after sending a wave of water on you.. Don't you wish you could have fun like this too???

Maybe it's from my sailing days that one learns to deal with the bad to be able to enjoy those beautiful days humming down the road.. It does give me the same sense of freedom that sailing did, might sound strange but it does..

I pulled off in this little town about ten minutes south of the Mass/NH border to get ssome coffee and gas and was thinking about calling it a day when a guy walks in the station and says there is a real bad accident on I-95 (my road) and traffic has backed up miles.. Now if you think riding in the rain is bad, how about standing in the rain in the middle of I-95??? I asked for the nearest motel and checked in.. Hot shower and I'm in heaven.. Later.. DLD
