On the Wednesday of the middle week of each three week session, MACC throws a fiesta called MACC night. We celebrate mass at 5 instead of 4, then eat and enjoy entertainment. The food was basic Mexican: enchiladas, rice, and beans.

One of the teachers plays in a band so they entertained for an hour after dinner. They play "Conjunto" music, a combination of Mexican, country, and polka. The band consists of an accordion, twelve-string guitar, bass guitar, and drums. They were plenty of fun.

Before mass, Chuck and I took a long walk down to Woodlawn Park, the major park of San Antonio about a half mile from MACC. The main feature of the park is a large lake. One lap around the lake is 1.33 miles. We did two laps.

On Friday night, we are all invited to go out with one of the teachers to celebrate her birthday. Stay tuned for details.
