Sunday was another talking day for me...that's basically all I did. I didn't feel like going anywhere - even though what I should have been doing was going around Madrid and giving Madrid the justice that it deserves.
I did, I went to the market first thing in the morning. It's a humongo-jumbo market - with everything you would ever need. It's only open on Sundays. We started at La Latina (which is at the top of the hill) and worked our way down. We were there the whole day - until 3 PM when it closed!
After the market we had a hot dog at a Bocadilla Restaurant. Their hot dogs are different - they use this stick thing to make a whole in the bun, put ketchup (or whatever condiments you use) into the whole and then they stick the dog in it and then cover it with ketchup. Weird, but good. It definitely didn't taste like an American hot dog, but, hey, it was lunch...and it was good.
Then that night I tried to study a little bit more...but once again, I kept talking....I'm such a talker, sheesh! I studied a little bit...then we ordered some Chinese food and then made it to bed! I had Pollo Agridulce (sweet and sour chicken) and Arroz Blanco no Frito (you have to special order this, you can't just get plain white rice as in the states). It definitely wasn't the Chinese food that I was used to, but at least I ate it and it was MUCH better than the dorm food that I had been used to.
