Once again, despite getting home near 6 in the morning, it was Barcelona, and we had to get up to do some sightseeing.
After our day of sightseeing, we all went our separate ways to get to our various forms of transport to Madrid. What we didn't realize is that Metros run much less on Sundays than other days of the week, so when we finally arrived at Barcelona Sands (the train station), we learn "el tren, se fue." ...we missed our train 1 minute after departure...L. (So did the people on the bus...). Mucho dinero later, we got on the train. (Quick side note - this Euro is KILLING ME...sorry, just had to throw that in...everyone, please remember that when you vote in November.) So, we learned our lesson...we have to be really prompt and plan for the worst when travelling through the country. Luckily, we were able to get a train ticket for the next train, albeit first class (all of the second class tickets were sold out for the day). Although I was totally ticked, I know I have to count my blessings...because we really could have been stranded for a night...
Got back to the hot room at Colegio Mayor Jaime del Amo and that's where I am now...just updating you all on my travels. I miss you all!!!
Getting ready to go sightseeing...
We took the metro to La Rambla (to have the image during the day) and saw some other things, like the Cathedral in the middle of Barcelona.

Me and Ashley on the metro
It's amazing to see the buildings - so old, so intricate, so much history...our cement block in Florida has nothing on them! It's absolutely beautiful! Barcelona is beautiful!
The Cathedral, under construction

The view in the Plaza...with beautiful music!

I'm not amused about missing the train...
