We finally got out of Arizona and through New Mexico.  We crossed the Continental Divide at 4585 ft. elevation about noon.  Landscape was mostly rolling hills that looked like big rock piles. We picked up a few hills along the way and things are starting to look slightly greener.  We have pretty much left the cactus behind and are seeing mostly scrub brush.  We didn't do any sightseeing on this leg, most of the interesting stuff is farther north and we will try to catch those on our way back next month.  We encounter a little wind but the temperature is nice at the high 70's.  We got to Las Cruces at sundown so decided to stay there instead of going on into El Paso, TX (another 40 miles).  Didn't unhook the car or do any sightseeing but saw some neat old houses and businesses.
