We have had a relaxing couple of months in Mesa AZ. For the most part it has been warm and sunny. The last couple of weeks we got the tail end of the storms from the Northwest that brought some rain (it was needed) and some chilly nights (lowest was 38).
We got to know the cities of Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert fairly well, did a lot of driving around looking and "mall strolling". We visited several of the local markets, Scottsdale and some of the historical districts, We didn't get to as many museums and "sightseeing" attractions as we wanted but loved what we did see. We had a quiet holiday with Brandt and a friend of ours for dinner.
We left Mesa today, got some work done on the motor home and started on the next leg of our trip. We only went about 50 miles - to Maricopa. Our campground is close to Casa Grande, a town about the size of Coeur d' Alene. We have visited it before and liked it. We will spend a couple of days here in the desert, go to another museum and do some sightseeing with Brandt on his day off. We got in after sunset today but will try to get a good picture for you tomorrow. They have some amazing su
On Friday we will head out for Tucson as we slowly work our way toward San Antonio TX.
I have been keeping up with the lousy weather up North. I really am sorry for what everyone there is going through but am happy I'm where it is basically warm and usually sunny.
